Emotion, essence of feeling,

Over our selves and minds,
Emotion most of all
Is what makes us human,
our emotion or our mind?
When animals show they have both
We will only disregard
The facts and contradictions
In our "infallible" logic.
How then are we different
From beast of fur and fang?
And how then shall I proceed
With my very existence in question?
